How to Apply
All Steps of the Application Process
You must submit the transcripts from each university you have attended.
You must have a valid GMAT score before submitting an application. LBS also accepts GRE scores. Please submit your official test taker copy of your score with your application.
If your native language is English or you have been living in English-speaking country for more than two years, you are not required to submit the English proficiency rests.
Essays are a vital part of your application and we recommend that you spend a significant amount of time in their preparation. The questions for the MBA program are:
- 1. What are your post-MBA goals and how will your prior experience and the London Business School programme contribute towards these? (500 words)
- 2. Is there any other information you believe the Admissions Committee should know about you and your application to London Business School? (Optional) (500 words)
You are supposed to upload two recommendation letters. The first one should be from your current employer (a colleague is also acceptable). The second recommendation should be from someone else who knows you well in the working context.
You are supposed to upload a one-page CV. Please give reasons for significant gaps in employment history on the separate sheet.
The application fee is £200. This fee must be paid by credit card with your form, your application will remain incomplete until LBS receives the correct fee.
After you will have submitted your application form, you may be invited for the interview. Interviews are conducted by alumni or senior admissions staff of the MBA programme and your interview will take place in the region in which you are based. Based on interviewer availability, you may be asked to travel in order to complete your interview.
After the interview you may receive the feedback with the admission committee decision : offer, reject or waitlist.
International Applicants
What International Applicants to School of Business Must Have
The admissions criteria applied in evaluating international applicants are the same as those for U.S. citizens. All application materials, including transcripts and recommendations, must be submitted online and in English.
All the applicants must fulfil the following requirements :
- - an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification;
- - a minimum of two years’ work experience (students without work experience should consider LBS Masters in Management program);
- - the ability to work in the international teams and to demonstrate an international outlook.
You must submit the transcripts from each university you have attended. The transcripts must be with the certificated translation into English.
If English is not your native language, or if you have not been studying fully in English or living in an English-speaking country for at least two years, please submit your IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge CPE, CAE or PTE Academic score. Other tests will not be accepted.
