#11 Best School of Management
The Yale School of Management (also known as Yale SOM) is the youngest top-tier US business school. It conducts education and research in leadership, behavioral economics, operations management, marketing, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and other areas. Their mission is to educate leaders for business and society. That mission is deeply wound into all of the school’s activities, from classroom pedagogy to the choices they make in managing their campus. The school is also known for its strength in the nonprofit sector and has taken a very different approach to management education than most business schools. As part of Yale’s integrated MBA curriculum, graduate students study “raw” cases – which requires them to analyze a wide array of materials, such as stock charts and articles – instead of standard business case studies.
